We recommend removing the shade sails when the winds are predicted to be higher than a Category 1 hurricane with speeds of 74 to 95 mph.
The release system mechanics and the sun shade poles are constructed using cold-rolled, galvanized tubular steel with a triple layer of protection. This creates more tensile strength and longer-term corrosion resistance than most steels offer.
