Time Is Running Out! Don’t Miss Out on Florida’s EANS Grant for Non-Public Schools

Looking to expand your private school with outdoor classrooms? The Florida Department of Education’s Emergency Assistance to Non-Public Schools (EANS) Grant Program can help.

The EANS program was created to address educational disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in eligible private schools. It provides reimbursements and vendor payments for equipment and services recommended by the CDC for maintaining health and safety, including sanitation supplies, ventilation systems, physical barriers and more.

Reimbursements for Apollo Shades are available under EANS to create outdoor classrooms, which are recommended by the CDC to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The deadline to submit reimbursement or vendor payment requests is June 1, 2023. Find out more about the EANS program here.

Outdoor Classrooms

Although most COVID-19 mandates have been lifted, outdoor classrooms have remained prevalent nation-wide. Research indicates that not only do outdoor classes help prevent the spread of COVID-19, but they can also improve student test scores and behavior.

Integrating outdoor classrooms in your school can encourage the healthy social conditions of campus life without sacrificing safety. Also, conducting classes in open air eliminates the need for bulky and distracting barriers intended to reduce the spread of COVID.
